WIND power PROJECTS
Wind power is a key element in realising the green transformationOnshore wind parks are a key element in realising the green transition and to become independent of fossil fuels.
Wind power is a key element in realising the green transformation in Denmark. We already have a lot of wind parks, and on a good day, they produce 100% or more than we actually use. But we’re not there yet. Experts expect that even as fossil fuel consumption drops, our need for electricity production will triple within 10 years. Wind power is the best means we have to meet our requirements. A very large proportion of them can be located offshore, but not all. We also need to erect new turbines onshore and to replace the old, small turbines with larger and more efficient models.

Offshore wind power test centre
TOWII is in the feasibility study stage for a new wind turbine test centre in Hillerup, located between Ribe and Esbjerg. The plan here is to erect offshore wind turbines on which tests of materials and output can be continuously run.
